What is Assisted Stretching?
Assisted stretching is a passive stretch service where I will manipulate the body to perform the stretch for you. During the stretch, your focus will be on breathing and communication so that we can target the right areas together. Benefits of this type of stretching are similar to that of yoga or a self-stretching program, however we have the ability to be more thorough with targeting muscle groups that are specific to your goals to create proper balance and alignment within your body. With consistent work we can achieve better results for range of motion, flexibility, and mobility - helping you to reduce stress and feel more at ease in your body!
During your first appointment, we will discuss your activities of daily living (work, exercise, etc.), perform assessments to evaluate where the body needs assistance, and work through some of the stretches that best fit what we find. Wear something stretchy & comfortable, including socks!
